The Black North Live At Teach Ceoil

It's taken us a long time to get back on the Teach Ceoil wagon. After Andys Da' died at the end of last year the energy required to put these gigs on left us but the right band came along and it was meant to be.

The Black North are a Belfast based musical collective. Focusing exclusively on the reinterpretation of classic Irish ballads and folk music with a rebellious punk infused attack.

We saw these guys in The American Bar earlier this year and immediately thought they should come to Lurgan and play for us and that these lads playing these tunes should be the band that gets us out of our funk is no coincidence.

Come and hear the rip roaring sounds of The Black North. We'll have food, including slow cooked smoked meats, Janie's mince pies, other delights and music galore.

Andy will support with a few tunes of his own and then we'll all tramp round to the Woodville for drinky poos and craic.
