Blood On The Scratchplate '65
Blood On The Scratchplate ‘65
Back in 2006, when The Bonnevilles were only a twinkle in yer Daddies eye, I (Andy) started Motor Sounds Records and the first album I put out was a compilation CD of bands I met mostly on MySpace.
Garage rock was the order of the day and a lot of the bands on the album we’re still friends with to this very day. Like The Keepers, Mudlow, Rock n Roll Monkey and The Routes but the cherry on the cake for you Bonnevilles fans is that this is the first recording Chris and I played on as a duo and get this, we weren’t even called The back then as we just started and hadn’t decided that we were going to be a band, we were called The Motor Sounds and it was the first recording of Hardtale Lurgan Blues and our cover of Alabama Train.
But theres a bonus, Chris and I also played inThe Childish Thoughts who also take the lead on this comp with Chris on drums and me on bass and I recorded both the The Childish Thoughts and The Motor Sounds tracks.
The sleeve notes were written by the auteur filmmaker and photographer Mark Littler.
So basically, I printed 500 originally and I have found 16 copies in a box. Still shrink wrapped.
I've stuck them up on The Bonnevilles website for sale if you want to head over and grab a copy.
If you want your copy signed by me just let me know and it shall be done (please note that this will mean me opening the shrink wrap)
